Ben Goodger’s feature debut Year 10 arrives on UK digital platforms August 4, courtesy of Reel2Reel Films. Expanded from his short film Coming of Age, the post-apocalyptic thriller is told entirely without dialogue, offering a stripped-back narrative driven by atmosphere, action, and survival.

Set ten years after the fall of society, Year 10 follows a young man (Toby Goodger) who witnesses the brutal killing of his father (Duncan Lacroix) at the hands of a gang of cannibals. Left with no choice, he begins a relentless pursuit across a desolate landscape to recover stolen medical supplies—crucial to the survival of his ailing girlfriend (Hannah Khalique-Brown), who suffers from a worsening wound.

Wild dogs, unforgiving terrain, and human predators shape a world where every moment is a test of endurance. The film explores the erosion of humanity in the face of desperation, with the absence of dialogue emphasizing visual storytelling and raw emotional stakes.

Year 10 premiered at FrightFest and is now poised for broader release, delivering an unflinching look at survival in a world where civilization has collapsed.
