Less Tech More Life is thrilled to unveil the first teaser and poster for VIDEO VISION, a queer romance set against the backdrop of RetroTech body horror. This eagerly anticipated film has been officially selected for this year’s Pigeon Shrine FrightFest and will celebrate its UK Premiere on August 24th at the iconic horror festival.
Directed by Michael Turney, VIDEO VISION stars Andrea Figliomeni and Chrystal Peterson in a haunting tale of love and supernatural terror. The story follows Kibby (Andrea Figliomeni), an employee at a digitizing facility, who encounters a mysterious VCR that begins to affect her in unsettling ways. As Kibby navigates an unexpected romance with a trans man named Gator (Chrystal Peterson), she finds herself increasingly ensnared by a supernatural force that gradually takes control of her body and mind.
The plot thickens as Kibby and Gator delve into the origins of the enigmatic VCR, only to uncover a dark dimension ruled by the VHS villain, Dr. Analog. “Whether it’s media formats, gender, or the passage of time, VIDEO VISION is a story of transition,” says Michael Turney, the film’s writer, director, and producer. “The setting is New York City, which has often changed but never escapes its history. As Dr. Analog ominously declares, ‘All of time is touching, and I feel you.’ If we don’t hold the hand of the past, it will leave us behind in the present.”
