Skybound Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of a new comic book series, “Void Rivals,” at the ComicsPRO Comic Industry Annual Meeting. The series is the latest project from the Oblivion Song team of Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici, along with colorist Matheus Lopes.

Introducing a New Shared Universe Void Rivals will introduce readers to an all-new shared universe, with a surprise that will be revealed in the series debut coming in June 2023. The comic book series promises to be the most ambitious project ever launched by Skybound.

The Plot of Void Rivals The story of Void Rivals is set in a world where war rages around the Sacred Ring, the last remnants of two worlds that have collapsed around a black hole in a never-ending conflict. The series follows the story of two enemies, pilot Darak and his rival Solila, who must find a way to escape together after they both crash land on a desolate planet. But as they navigate the strange new world, they soon discover that they are not alone and that dark forces threaten the entire universe.

The Ambition of the Series Robert Kirkman has promised that Void Rivals will be his most ambitious project yet, with a bigger scope and stakes than any of his previous works. He said, “With Void Rivals, we’ll be going bigger than I ever have and at a much faster pace. This project is going to be monumental. I can’t wait for people to see what Lorenzo and I have cooking.”

The Cover and Variants Void Rivals #1 will feature a main cover by Lorenzo De Felici, with variant covers by some of the top artists in the industry. The variant covers will reveal more about the new characters and their worlds.
