A new scripted horror anthology has arrived on the DREAD Podcast Network. Dark Sanctum, created and directed by Mark Ramsey (Inside JAWS, Inside the Exorcist), premiered December 4 and delivers weekly standalone stories inspired by classics such as The Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt.
Produced by Josh Korngut, Editorial Director at Dread Central, Dark Sanctum is crafted as a series of fully produced audio movies. Each Wednesday, listeners can expect a new episode featuring a cast of notable performers, including Bethany Joy Lenz, Clive Standen, Michael O’Neill, Sam Daly, and Maxwell Caulfield.
The debut episode, “Detour,” introduces a man rushing home to settle a mysterious debt. His plans derail when he is violently forced off the road, placing his wife and young daughter in immediate danger. The premiere stars Clive Standen, Bethany Joy Lenz, Mark Ramsey, and Michael O’Neill.
Upcoming installments explore a range of horror narratives, from claustrophobic ordeals to supernatural confrontations and unsettling transformations. The anthology format allows each episode to stand on its own, offering listeners a variety of tones and themes rooted in genre tradition.
