Bloody Disgusting and Storm King Productions have partnered to launch two new scripted podcasts under the “John Carpenter Presents” banner. The collaboration expands both companies’ storytelling efforts into the growing audio fiction space.

The first series, John Carpenter Presents: Something Wicked, is now available across major podcast platforms. The eight-episode production was created by Read W. Ridley and produced by 12 Angry Bears, with executive producer Sandy King.

Set in New Orleans, the series follows a young historian and a seasoned detective who investigate paranormal crimes connected to real-world legends and folklore. The story blends investigative drama with supernatural themes tied to the region’s history and atmosphere.

The podcast marks a return to fiction audio projects for Storm King Productions, a company founded in 1991 that has produced horror content across film, comics, and publishing. Through its publishing arm, Storm King Comics, the company has released titles including Dark & Twisted and Tales for a HalloweeNight, with additional projects currently in development.

Alongside Something Wicked, Bloody Disgusting and Storm King Productions are also developing a second scripted audio series under the “John Carpenter Presents” banner. Details about the upcoming project will be announced at a later date.

The launch reflects continued interest in horror fiction podcasts and expands the reach of the John Carpenter brand into the audio storytelling space.
