YOU’RE DEAD TO ME: Gen Z Slasher Hits Digital July 7 via Dark Star Pictures

Dark Star Pictures will release YOU’RE DEAD TO ME, a Gen Z slasher paying homage to ’90s horror classics, on digital and on demand on July 7, 2026. The FrightFest 2025 World Premiere hit is directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz.

Channeling the spirit of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, YOU’RE DEAD TO ME follows three high school seniors who ditch prom for a secluded weekend party — free from parents, school, and responsibility. Their escape turns terrifying when they learn one of their classmates has been brutally murdered.

The cast brings together Denise Richards and some of Hollywood’s fastest-rising young talents: Siena Agudong (Sidelined: The QB and Me, Sidelined 2: Intercepted), Jessica Belkin (the upcoming Elle and Baywatch series), Ella Anderson (Henry Danger, Song Sung Blue), and Conor Husting (Boo, Bitch, Hollywood Stargirl). The screenplay was co-written by Sarah Howard and Terry Castle — daughter of legendary horror showman William Castle, director of THE TINGLER, HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, and 13 GHOSTS. The film carries that horror-royalty lineage into its DNA, with an unpredictable modern twist that fans of the genre will feel immediately.
