Mary and Margo are returning from the dead this Halloween with a new theatrical production that sends the duo beyond the grave and into the Void. “Mary & Margo’s Halloween Sideshow of Madness” will take the stage at ZJU Theatre Group in North Hollywood on select Wednesdays and Thursdays from October 14 through October 29, 2026.
Written, directed, and starring Katie Oliver and Kristen Hansen, the production follows Mary and Margo, two performers who died years ago in a theater accident and have since been trapped in the Void. While there, the pair have been working on what they consider to be their greatest theatrical creation. Unfortunately, they need to be summoned back to the land of the living before they can perform it—and their return may come with some unexpected consequences.
The audience plays a role in helping Mary and Margo achieve their goal of performing their masterpiece one final time. Whether they manage to complete the show or find themselves sent back to another realm is part of the evening’s story.
Mary & Margo began as a series of online sketches created during quarantine before expanding into live theater. The characters have since appeared at venues including The Broadwater and Eastwood Hollywood Theatre. Their previous production, The Mary & Margo Art Expérience, appeared during the Hollywood Fringe and received a Theatre 68 award.

For this Halloween production, Oliver and Hansen are bringing their characters’ artistic ambitions into the afterlife. The show is produced by Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre Group and Matt Morillo for KADM Productions.
“Mary & Margo’s Halloween Sideshow of Madness” is scheduled for October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29, with performances at 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. each night. The production is intended for audiences 15 and older, is wheelchair accessible, and encourages attendees to wear costumes.

For horror fans looking for a theatrical Halloween event in North Hollywood, Mary and Margo will be ready to make their return from the Void this October. The question is whether they can finally put on their show—or whether the afterlife has other plans.
