Focus Features has put tickets on sale for official 35MM screenings of Werwulf, the new gothic horror film from director Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, Nosferatu), ahead of its theatrical release on December 25, 2026.

The studio describes the film as Eggers’ “most visceral and haunting experience yet,” a tale of devotion, damnation, and the devil within. Eggers wrote the screenplay with Sjón, his collaborator on The Northman. Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), Willem Dafoe (Nosferatu), and Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu) star. Producers include Eggers, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Garrett Bird, and Sjón, with Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, and Bernard Bellew as executive producers.

The marketing campaign has an interactive side as well. An alternate reality game at DevourethAllMankynde.com opened its second clue at 9 p.m. Pacific on October 25, giving fans 24 hours to find the next sign. For this full moon, Focus launched a Snapchat lens that lets users scan the actual moon to reveal the clue. Players are working toward a mystery prize that will be revealed at the November full moon.
