Detective Eva returns to her hometown of Silverhöjd after her estranged father Johan Thörnblad’s suicide. Seven years have passed and the loss of Eva’s daughter, Josephine, still haunts her but another young boy’s similar missing case leads Eva to uncover Silverhöjd’s supernatural secrets that many wish to keep buried.

Eva still struggles with her new found super powers. Wass helps her with the adjustment but she must learn quickly in order to find the children. The only way to make sure the forest is safe is to take her father’s seat in the company but this may not be a desirable decision to some.

Tom continues to try and find Esmeralda but Wass might have other plans. Esmeralda is special and Wass understands this. Tom is acting on his own but he may be way over his head with this investigation. He may not or may not be a trustworthy ally to Eva and Wass.

A mother will do anything for her child and Gerda proves it. In this episode, we come to understand her persistence with Gustaf and the leveling of the forest. Gustaf is pushed into a corner and must make a decision that could hurt the family he has built. Gerda might be keeping her own secrets when it comes to the truth of Nicklas’ father.

Eva finds a way to communicate with the last living creature of the forest. She gives her word that the forest will no longer be touched, but it may not be a simple thing to promise. A book containing all the secrets of Silverhöjd goes missing. If the book reaches the wrong hands it could have devasting consequences. Can Eva find the person that took it before everything fall apart? Watch the new episode available on Shudder!
