Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion has a third free title update available now for the PlayStation4 and the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X. This includes a number of system updates, two powerful monster variants, and a new seasonal in-game event. Future updates coming to Iceborne have been teased by the Monster Hunter team through an accompanying developer update video. Fans of the game can look forward to the emergence of Arch-Tempered Namielle, the gilded Kulve Taroth, and the calamitous appearance of Alatreon in the New World.

Furious Rajang is a variant of Rajang when in its enraged golden state. This variant embraces its original seething anger to boost up its attacks even further. Assuring no distance is safe, Furious Rajang not only has devastating pin attacks but also has many new medium and long-range attacks. If that weren’t enough, this fierce predator has fewer weak points forcing players to face this beast head-on.

With an even more volatile coating of slime that seeps from multiple areas on its body, the variant Raging Brachydios brings a truly explosive change. Attacking specific body parts can force the slime to drop off, but once the slime reaches the ground, players will need to prepare to avoid an even wider explosive zone. A retreat is not an option for the no-holds-barred cage match that this beast can trap players into.

Updates Raging Brachydios

Brand new top-tier Palico gear, weapons, armor featuring new set bonus skills, and decorative pendants materials will be rewarded to players who are daring enough to tackle these encounters.

Layered weapons that alter the appearance of weapons without impacting their stats have also been introduced into the game with the title 3 updates. With the ability to customize fully upgraded weapons with a distinct base frame and monster part attachments, the first round of layered weapons is now available. Weapons with unique designs will join the layered weapon pool later in April. Enhanced drop rates for various quest types with increased monetary rewards when assisting players with a low Master Rank has also been overhauled in Hunter Helper. Regular quests award armor-enhancing King Armor Spheres while assisting players with assignments now offers a chance of receiving rare decorations through Carved Feystones. Rarity 12 armors can be enhanced to level 20 now, making those spheres even more useful.

Quest leaders can now force unwanted monsters out of a region instantly while on a hunt with the new tool Banishing Ball. New monster figures, music options, and decor for your room can be obtained through paid DLC. A free character customization update allows all NPC hairstyles from the game to be available to players. Pendants and sticker sets allow players to flex their style even further with new paid DLC.

Updates Raging Brachydios Weapons

Both PC and consoles will be able to celebrate the new Seliana seasonal event, Full Bloom Fest and simultaneous content updates for all platforms going forward on April 8th, a day after the Title Update 3 arrives for PC players. With the new canteen meals, gathering hub decorations, seasonal Palico gear, pendants, paid seasonal Handler costume, guild card options, and a new Poogie costume, the whole base will be getting into the rosy spirit of Full Bloom Fest. Log-in bonuses and bounties will offer tickets for crafting elegant event armor during Full Bloom Fest. A pair of Whetfish Dual Blades and materials for layered headgear based on the rare endemic creature Downy Crakes will be provided through brand new event quests.

With the Master Rank arrival of the glimmering Kulve Taroth and the emergence of Arch-Tempered Namielle, players will have even more challenges to overcome in April. A group of four players are given the chance to gather upgrade materials that can bring the High-Rank siege’s gear up to Master Rank in the new Kulve Taroth Event Quest. With the approaching arrival of the fearsome Alatreon, players will need to rely on their sharpest wits, strategies, and weapons. This catastrophic Elder Dragon will have more information released at a future date.
