Santa Monica’s Pacific Park has welcomed a new attraction that blends history with immersive storytelling. On September 10, EPIC Entertainment Group officially opened the all-new 2,800-square-foot Funhouse, reviving the legacy of the famed “Toonerville Funhouse” through a modern lens just in time for the Halloween season and beyond.
The original Toonerville Funhouse dates back to the 1920s at Ocean Park Pier and later appeared at Pacific Ocean Park in 1958. Now, EPIC has reimagined its whimsical yet unsettling spirit into nine themed chambers featuring optical illusions, disorienting twists, and eerie surprises. Guests may encounter rooms such as Mirror Madness, Puppet Master, Gumball Glazy, and Vanilla Chill, with lore tying the attraction to Sprinkles the Clown and a mysterious Fortune Teller.
“Creating the Funhouse for Pacific Park allowed us to blend nostalgia with new innovations in storytelling,” said Charity Hill, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of EPIC Entertainment Group. “We love digging into history, finding what made people fall in love with these experiences in the first place, and then reinventing them for today’s audiences.”

The Funhouse is designed to feel like a forgotten storage area tucked into the century-old pier, leading guests into a labyrinth of curiosities where Sprinkles and the Fortune Teller lure visitors toward their fate. This latest addition highlights EPIC’s continued commitment to fusing theatrical design and production with narrative-driven environments.
EPIC Entertainment Group has an extensive portfolio that includes work with Hotel del Coronado, Hersheypark’s Dark Nights, and the Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor. With the debut of the Funhouse at Pacific Park, the company adds another immersive chapter to California’s amusement and haunt legacy.
