Four Horsemen Films and Dystopian Films have announced Kill Me I’m Irish, a psychological thriller written and directed by Simon Phillips, with a worldwide theatrical release planned for 2026. The production has released first look stills teasing a suspense-driven story set in modern-day New York City during St. Patrick’s Day.

The film centers on Detective Michaels (Nick Biskupek), a weary NYPD investigator who has spent six years hunting a serial killer targeting Irish women. As the killer (played by director Simon Phillips) prepares to claim his seventh victim (Shayna Burns), Michaels is forced to team up with rookie Officer Rodriguez (Sienna Star) in a final effort to stop the murders.

According to Phillips, Kill Me I’m Irish aims to subvert the expectations of the serial killer genre by weaving themes of guilt, identity, and redemption into a holiday setting. The film uses the celebratory imagery of St. Patrick’s Day—green colors, parades, and community spirit—as a visual contrast to the underlying horror unfolding throughout the story.

Director of Photography and Co-Producer Adam Kirkey noted the creative latitude offered during production: “Working with and seeing how Simon works has been a great opportunity. I’ve really appreciated the creative freedom he’s given me and my talented lighting department.”

The ensemble cast includes Sean Irvine, Douglas Vermeeren, Michael Vassi, Nathan Yee, Zeus Fleming, Damir Kovic, Skylar Nangreaves, and more. The film is produced by a team including Douglas Vermeeren, Mark Popejoy, Mark Culbert, Azed Majeed, and others.

Kill Me I’m Irish is currently in production and will be distributed globally by Dystopian Films Ltd.
