Unknown Waters Studio has announced ICU – Intensive Care Unit 8, a new single-player horror game built around observation-based gameplay and escalating tension. The experience places players inside a looping hospital corridor where progress depends on identifying anomalies and making the correct decisions to move forward.

Drawing inspiration from titles like The Exit 8 and Shinkansen 0, ICU – Intensive Care Unit 8 adapts the formula to a medical setting, introducing its own structure and progression system. Players must carefully observe their surroundings, noting subtle and overt changes that signal whether to continue or turn back.
The full game is set to include more than 30 anomalies, including 10 high-risk encounters and three ultra-rare anomalies with extremely low chances of appearing. These elements are designed to add unpredictability and encourage repeated playthroughs. Multiple endings will also be available, depending on how players respond to the challenges presented throughout the experience.
Encounters go beyond simple navigation, requiring quick thinking and decisive action. As the corridor loops and conditions shift, players must stay focused to identify the correct path and avoid consequences tied to missed or misread anomalies.
ICU – Intensive Care Unit 8 positions itself as a new entry in the growing space of anomaly-driven horror games.
