Storm King Comics will take center stage when Midsummer Scream returns to the Long Beach Convention Center, August 15–17, 2025. The award‑winning publisher, founded by producer Sandy King, leads this year’s show‑wide theme, “Horror Comic Books.”

Legendary filmmaker and composer John Carpenter—a frequent Storm King collaborator—will appear on Saturday, August 16 only. Each paid autograph will include a copy of John Carpenter Presents George A. Romero’s THE AMUSEMENT PARK, a new graphic novel created with the George A. Romero Foundation.

Sandy King, whose producing credits span Vampires, They Live, and Suburban Screams, will join Carpenter and additional Storm King talent at the publisher’s booth throughout the weekend. Fans can expect signings, creator meet‑ups, and previews of forthcoming titles.

Beyond Storm King’s presence, the convention will showcase horror‑themed comic programming, plus the popular Hall of Shadows haunt zone, live entertainment, and panels covering major attractions such as Halloween Horror Nights and Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group. Local retailer “Revenge Of” will host creator signings and supply horror‑themed pinball machines on the show floor.

Midsummer Scream anticipates more than 50,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors. Passes are on sale now at midsummerscream.org, with updates posted on Instagram, Bluesky, and Facebook (@midsummerscream).
