Storm King Comics’ Dark & Twisted imprint returns to the City of Angels this summer with Death Mask Volume 2: Ichor Azure, the follow-up to last year’s breakout graphic thriller Death Mask. Arriving in comic-book shops and online outlets on July 22, the 120-page volume reunites New York Times bestselling writer Amanda Deibert, artist Cat Staggs, and co-creator/editor Sandy King.

Set amid the secluded hills of Los Angeles, the story finds Detective Sonia Maza hunting an unidentified killer targeting the influencer offspring of Hollywood’s elite. When two victims vanish, Maza seeks an unlikely ally: Alejandra—the original “Death Mask” serial killer who once left the detective near death. Their uneasy partnership pits two anti-heroes against a murderer whose motives remain buried in the glare of celebrity culture.

“Detective Maza was conceived as a female Punisher, so placing her alongside another formidable character raises the stakes,” Sandy King noted in the announcement. “Amanda and Cat have delivered a tense, visually striking narrative that’s ideal for readers who enjoy crime stories with a psychological edge.”

Death Mask Volume 2: Ichor Azure continues the Dark & Twisted line, which spotlights the hidden terrors of everyday life. Other titles in the imprint include Long Haul, The Killing Hole, and the debut Death Mask. All Storm King Comics releases are available through comic retailers, major bookstores, and digital platforms.
