Cineverse and Legendary Entertainment have unveiled “Becoming Nutz,” the third official teaser for The Toxic Avenger, writer-director Macon Blair’s contemporary reboot of the 1980s cult classic. The 60-second spot leans into the film’s rallying cry—“It’s time to go NUTZ!”—while offering a fresh look at Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage as janitor-turned-hero Winston Gooze, better known as Toxie.

Set to hit U.S. theaters on August 29, 2025, the dark comedy follows Gooze after a toxic mishap mutates him into a radioactive defender of his son, friends, and town. Faced with ruthless corporate interests, Toxie embraces his new form to serve up justice—radioactive style.

The ensemble also features Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, and Taylour Paige. With its blend of practical effects, sardonic humor, and commentary on runaway greed, the film aims to introduce a new generation to Tromaville’s unlikely champion while honoring the original’s off-beat legacy.
