The newest clip from Breaker’s upcoming sci-fi thriller PERFECT has been released, executive produced by Steven Soderbergh and directed by Eddie Alcazar, with music by Flying Lotus.

Perfect introduces Garrett Wareing as an emotionally-troubled young man. His mother (Abbie Cornish) sends him to a clinic, where modernist serenity whispers soothing promises of perfection. By planting plug-and-play characteristics directly into his own body, he is relieved of his dark, twisted visions, but his body pays the price for purity of mind.

The production value is as high as I expected from a film produced by Soderbergh, especially the cinematography, and has a cool Ex Machina/Bladerunner feel to it overall. Albeit, I have no idea what’s going on here, but I do want to know what happens next! (And what that strange device is that looks like one of those mystery items at the back of a Daiso.)

Perfect will be released in NY on May 17th, LA on May 24th, followed by an exclusive VOD launch on Breaker.io on June 21st.
