Deadbolt follows Anne Harrington (Callie Deering), who is weighing a run for Congress when she comes home to find a door cracked open, one she is certain she locked. Within minutes, silence turns to dread, and dread turns to terror, as she realizes she is not alone in her own house. Trapped and hunted through the dark, she must outwit two violent predators who will stop at nothing.
Zac Coleman directs from a screenplay by Dylan Noe, based on a story by Coleman and Craig Deering. The cast includes Callie Deering, Adria Dawn, Matt Gorkis, Eric Wolfgang Nelson, and Jaslen Gonzalez. Producers are Craig Deering, Elizabeth Perla, and Parker Jesse Chase, and the film runs a tight 76 minutes.
At 76 minutes, the film promises a fast, claustrophobic watch in the home-invasion tradition, with a political-candidate hook adding a wrinkle to the heroine’s stakes.
