Bamfer Productions and iHeartMedia have announced the launch of  “Searching For Putty Man“, a delightfully creepy all-new iHeartRadio original investigative podcast. “Searching For Putty Man” is created by Jeff Heimbuch (one of HorrorBuzz’s very own!), Matthew Tyler Vorce, and Kori Celeste. The first episode will debut March 31, and every Wednesday thereafter.

“Searching for Putty Man” tries to unravel the twisted mystery that is the story of Putty Man, who has stalked the streets of Los Angeles for decades. This mysterious being with a melted face resembling putty is rumored to be the reason so many have gone missing from Griffith Park. Tragedy always seems to follow this malicious misshapen mass, but what is the true origin story of the Putty Man? What is that high-pitched noise that always signals his arrival? How did this mythos come to be and what is the meaning of his reappearance?

This ten-episode series will attempt to answer these questions and unpack this most puzzling putty. This trio of investigators may also find out what happens when the urban legend you are trying to find ends up finding you first. Each episode is 30 minutes of mystery, history, and fun… making it the perfect bite-sized morsel of horror entertainment to escape the monotony of everyday life.

“The Putty Man urban legend has intrigued me since the moment I first heard about him,” said Heimbuch. “While he’s not as well-known as the Mothman or Bigfoot, he’s definitely a fascinating and creepy bit of Los Angeles history.”

“There’s so much about this infamous Los Angeles presence that we don’t understand,” said Celeste. “But I know we’re all very much looking forward to uncovering the truth.”

“It’s thrilling to see the Bamfer Productions team turn their talents to an investigative reporting style,” said Holly Frey, Podcast Lead Executive Producer for iHeartMedia. “The natural curiosity of Jeff and his team is sure to lead us to some unexpected places.”

“Searching For Putty Man” can be heard on all podcast streaming platforms, and the trailer is now available! Follow “Searching For Putty Man” on Instagram at @SearchingForPuttyMan and on Twitter at @Search4PuttyMan for photos and bonus material from each week’s episode!
